University Honors Program Coordinator
Sunni Nelson (she, her, hers) was born in Merced and has enjoyed watching the UC grow within the local community. Sunni graduated from UC Berkeley in 2016, majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology. Sunni was interested in the field of Optometry, but became passionate in Higher Education while at UC Berkeley. Sunni started working at UC Merced in 2018 within the Library and loved collaborating with the campus community. She enjoys working with students and ensuring they have the necessary resources they need in order to succeed. Sunni enjoys cooking new recipes, attending cardio kickboxing classes, and traveling.
