Honors students will participate in at least one community service, leadership or mentorship activity with a minimum of 20 hours of engagement. There are many options to fulfill this requirement that may include but are not limited to
- campus tutoring,
- the Peer Success Mentor program,
- community service,
- projects with Anthropology’s Community Research and Service minor (please link: ),
- a leadership position in a registered campus club or organization such as the Associated Students of UC Merced (ASUCM),
- the Yosemite Leadership Program.
Students should consult with the Honors Program Faculty Director to ascertain if an experience will satisfy this requirement.
To receive credit for the community, mentorship and leadership requirement students must submit a reflection form (link here-form to be developed).
